The figures in the landscape serve as carriers and reflectors of the light that falls upon them. Bathed in the luminosity, it is my hope that they would become more beautiful. To me, light is the ultimate subject because it embodies the pinnacle of all reality.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Must be summer....... but i'm back on track.

My family will soon be leaving for our annual week long beach trip. A nice place in Ocean Isle, NC but this house is adorable. What do you think?

A Warm, Natural, and Modern Beach House

Creating a home on Shelter Island, New York for his family, architect Cary Tamarkin paired back design ideas to the essentials. He simplified the house by using concrete floors, built-in furniture, and lots of wood. The interior decorating is by their neighbor, designer Suzanne Shaker.
